We use high-temp silicone gaskets and compression fittings that can handle the constant heating and cooling without cracking or shrinking.&#xA;But there is a catch. Those tight seals are great for keeping water out, but they also trap heat inside.&#xA;If you&amp;rsquo;re installing these, just make sure your cabinet ventilation is beefy enough to handle the extra warmth. If the inside of the housing gets too hot for too long, your wire insulation can get brittle. Now, when something breaks, it&amp;rsquo;s just the replaceable tube—not the expensive housing. You get the peace of mind of a sealed unit, but it&amp;rsquo;s actually serviceable.
