Stop Throwing Away Your Towel Rails
Here is the problem with most towel rail heaters: they’re sealed shut. If a heating element burns out after five years, you’re basically stuck. You can’t fix it, so you scrap the whole thing and start over. It’s a waste of money and a pain in the neck. We decided to do things differently. We moved to a modular setup. Why bother with modules? Think of the heating element as something that eventually wears out—like a lightbulb—rather than a permanent part of your wall. With a modular chassis, you don’t have to rip the entire rail out of the bathroom just because one spot stopped getting warm. You just pop out the dead module and slide in a new one. It turns a several-hour headache into a two-minute job. The tricky part Infrared is great. It heats up fast and dries your towels way better than those old convection heaters. But there’s a catch: infrared tubes get hot. Really hot. If you cram a high-wattage module into a tight space, you risk melting the housing or frying the wires. To stop that from happening, we added heat-sink mounts. They pull the heat away from the electrical connectors, so the wires don’t get brittle and snap over time. Keeping it running We used quick-connect terminals, which is a fancy way of saying you don’t need to touch a soldering iron or mess around with complex wiring. Unplug the old unit. Slide the new one in. Lock it down. Done. It just makes sense. You keep the steel frame and only pay for the part that actually does the work. It changes the whole experience from “buying a new product” to just giving your current one a quick tune-up.
